Let me tell you what conscious leadership actually requires.
It requires you to sit in a difficult conversation with your CTO, or your management team and notice — in real time — that the tightness in your chest is defensiveness, not clarity.
It requires you to walk into a board meeting where you’re the smartest person in the room and stay genuinely curious anyway.
It requires you to catch the moment you’re about to blame your team for a miss that started with a decision you made six months ago.
None of that is soft.
What’s soft is leading on autopilot. Running meetings that have the same dynamic every week and calling it culture. Promoting the people who remind you of yourself and calling it talent development. Reacting to your team from a place of unexamined fear and calling it high standards.
I work with executives, founders, and HR leaders who are exceptionally intelligent. They’ve built companies, led through crises, and managed complexity that would break most people.
And the work that changes everything for them is not strategy. It’s not a new framework.
It’s becoming aware of the unconscious patterns running underneath every decision they make.
That’s the work. It’s rigorous. It’s demanding. And it produces results that no leadership training program ever has — because it addresses the root, not the symptom.
Conscious leadership isn’t a personality type. (although understanding your type is a useful component) It is a practice. Conscious leadership starts with the willingness to look at what you’d rather not see.
This is the reason I co-founded the podcast, Unconcious with fellow conscious collaborator Morgan Sutton so that we could unpack the messy, uncomfortable difficult work of living with more care, more intention and more candor.
I help leaders do exactly that — through 1:1 and team coaching, where we go into the territory most leadership conversations won’t touch.
The work feels more important than ever as the AI train comes hurtling towards us and is certain to weave its impact in all of our human systems.
I feel a resolve in helping business leaders navigate the unchartered complex waters of leading the future using their humanity, emotional intelligence, and a commitment to valuing human dignity and respect to shape and design the world we actually want to live in.
In the words of one of my mentors, guides and Wisdom 2.0 Founder, Soren Gordhamer who recently wrote:
“AI can (potentially) remind us of what makes us human, not take it away. After all, love has always been a more powerful force than intelligence.”
If this resonates, follow along. We’re just getting started.

“What’s soft is leading on autopilot” mic drop!
the willingness to look at what you'd rather not see! amen!
